Understated & Natural Makeup Looks
Makeup should feel like you, only dialled up. My signature understated glam focuses on healthy, luminous skin and soft definition, perfect for those who want to look radiant, not heavy.
This bride's request was simple: a soft reception look that didn't change her face. I focused on creating a flawless, dewy base and enhancing her natural features, ensuring she felt beautiful and, most importantly, like herself.
This bride, a film director from LA, prioritized minimalism. From her outfit to her makeup, every detail was about looking like herself. I created a barely-there look with a focus on healthy, glowing skin.
An elegant, understated glam look for a client who loves a "no makeup" look. I used lightweight products and soft contouring to enhance her features naturally, proving that less can be more.

A beautiful portrait showing how a minimal makeup look can still be incredibly elegant and impactful. The focus is on perfect skin and subtle definition.
A happy, smiling shot of the minimalist bride. Her natural beauty shines through, enhanced by a touch of makeup that gives her a fresh and radiant glow for her special day.
About Understated & Natural Makeup
It starts with the skin prep. Before I pick up a brush, we dedicate 20 minutes to a full hydration treatment using serums and barrier repair creams like Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream. This creates a lit-from-within canvas where the makeup sits into your skin, not on top of it, giving you that seamless, natural finish that remains fresh for hours.
Achieving a 'no-makeup' look is often more technical than bold glam. It requires precision in texture, blending, and lighting adaptation. My approach is built on three pillars:
The Skin Architecture
I believe the base is 80% of the result. For natural looks, I avoid heavy, matte foundations. Instead, I use luxury sheer bases like Chanel or Dior, applying them with a press-in technique to mimic the look of bare skin. This ensures your pores are blurred, but your natural complexion still breathes.
Soft Definition
I use a watercolor blush technique, layering cream and liquid products to create a natural flush that looks like it is coming from within. For the eyes, I focus on soft washes of champagne or peach tones and individual lash clusters rather than full strips. This opens the eyes gently, providing definition without the 'done-up' feeling.
Why Clients Choose This
Many brides tell me, 'I want my parents to recognize me.' That is exactly the goal here. Whether it is for a Mehendi, a destination reception, or a red carpet event, this style is about confidence. It holds up in high-definition photography and harsh venue lighting because it is built on proper skin conditioning and long-wear setting techniques, not heavy layering. You get a look that feels lightweight, breathable, and entirely your own.
