About this collection
The Muhurtham ceremony often involves hours near a havan, which is why I use a specialized HD matte base designed to withstand heat and humidity without melting or feeling cakey. My approach focuses on making your skin look naturally glowing while ensuring the makeup lasts through all the morning rituals, from the first step to the final photograph.
Achieving the perfect traditional look is about balancing the richness of your Kanjeevaram saree with makeup that doesn't overwhelm your features. When you sit in my chair, the first thing I ask is, 'Yāva tara mēkap bēku?' (What kind of makeup do you want?). This helps me understand your comfort level, whether you prefer a classic bold red lip or a softer, more subtle tone.
My Approach to Muhurtham Makeup
- Heat-Resistant Base: I prep your skin with CTM and use long-wear primers and setting sprays. This ensures the foundation doesn't slide off or become oily during the long wedding hours.
- Eye Artistry: Depending on your jewellery and saree borders, I create looks ranging from traditional gold shimmers to defined cut-creases. My focus is always on making your eyes stand out in photos without looking artificial.
- Jewellery & Saree Setting: A huge part of the South Indian bride's look is the jewellery. I assist in setting your maang tikka, mattal, and vaddanam to ensure they are secure and comfortable for the duration of the event.
- The Poola Jada: No Muhurtham look is complete without a traditional floral braid. I use high-quality extensions to provide volume and structure, creating that iconic silhouette that perfectly complements your silk saree.
I travel to venues across Bangalore, Mysore, and Hassan. I bring my own lighting setup to ensure I can see exactly how the makeup looks in different environments, guaranteeing a consistent finish from the dressing room to the mandap.
