It is not just about the final look. Here is a peek into how I create that flawless, long-lasting glow, from the first brush stroke to the final touch.

A candid moment of a bride getting ready. The focus is on her happy expression as she puts on her earrings, with her flawless makeup and hair already done.

Applying mascara is one of the final, crucial steps. It opens up the eyes and completes the dramatic eye makeup for this bride's muhurtham look.

A creative shot using my ring light. This tool is essential for creating flawless makeup, as it provides even, bright light that mimics daylight, ensuring the final look is perfect.

A close up of Sowmya's beautiful bridal makeup. The warm, shimmery eyeshadow and bold lip colour are perfect for her red saree.

A profile shot of a bride next to my professional lighting. Good lighting is key to achieving a perfectly blended and colour matched makeup application.

A bride admiring her final look in the ring light. This is the moment she sees the full transformation, and her happy reaction is everything.

A happy smile while applying mascara. I love making the getting ready process fun and relaxed for my brides.

About this collection

Good makeup starts with the right environment. I always carry my own professional ring lights to every venue, because even in a dimly lit hotel room, consistent lighting is the only way to ensure your foundation is perfectly blended and your contour is seamless before you step onto the stage.

Every bride starts with the same question: 'Yāva tara mēkap bēku?' (What kind of makeup do you want?). This is the foundation of my process. Whether you have a clear vision of your Muhurtham look or are still figuring out what suits your Kanjeevaram saree, our journey begins with a conversation.

My approach focuses on skin health and longevity. I prioritize a proper CTM (Cleansing, Toning, Moisturizing) routine tailored to your skin type, ensuring your makeup stays fresh throughout long ceremonies. For traditional South Indian weddings, I use HD matte formulas designed to withstand heat and camera flashes, so you look radiant from the start of the ceremony to the final photo.

I handle the entire transformation in about three hours. This includes expert saree draping and setting your heavy temple jewelry, which is a specialized skill in itself. My kit is stocked with professional-grade products that cater to all skin tones, and I provide small touch-up kits for your convenience. Whether I am traveling to a venue in Mysore or working in a home in Bangalore, I treat the setup as a critical part of the art. When you see the final look in the mirror, that moment of confidence is what I work for.

I am Shobha. For me, makeup is not about changing how you look but bringing out your natural shine. Whether we are prepping for a traditional Muhurtham or a modern reception, I love keeping the energy relaxed so you feel like yourself in my chair.
