Draping a heavy Kanjivaram saree isn't just about pinning it up, it's about the pleats staying put when you're moving around. I handle the entire setup—from setting the pallu to securing the jewelry—so you aren't constantly adjusting yourself during the ceremony.
For a South Indian bridal look, the balance is everything. Because Kanjivaram sarees are rich in color and heavy in texture, I stick to my philosophy of 'less makeup, more beauty.' The goal is to highlight your features without letting the heavy gold jewelry or the vibrant silk overwhelm your face.
My Approach to Traditional Styling
- Skin Prep for Long Hours: Traditional ceremonies can be long. I use specific CTM (Cleansing, Toning, Moisturizing) routines that hold up under studio lights and through long rituals, focusing on an HD matte or soft glow finish that doesn't cake.
- The Draping Technique: This is where many struggle. I specialize in secure pinning for Kanjivaram and silk fabrics. I make sure your pleats are crisp and your pallu stays exactly where it should, so you don't have to worry about it while walking or performing rituals.
- Jewelry & Outfit Coordination: A big part of my service is fixing the little things. If your temple jewelry is pinching or your dupatta needs extra support, I am there to fix it. I’ve seen enough chaotic moments on the wedding day to know that having someone who can handle wardrobe malfunctions is as important as the makeup itself.
