Traditional Makeovers for Kids
Getting the little ones ready for a traditional celebration is such a joy. I focus on gentle, skin-safe makeup and classic hairstyles that make them feel like little princesses while keeping them comfortable.
A very special transformation for my adorable young client, Poorvi. She asked for colorful eye makeup, and I was so happy to create this fun, shimmery pink look for her.
The stunning Poorvi, looking absolutely precious after her makeover. Her smile shows how much she loved her colorful eye makeup and the pretty pink lip color.
A beautiful portrait of Poorvi, looking like a little doll in her traditional pavadai davani (half saree) and jewelry. The makeup is kept light, fresh, and perfectly age-appropriate.
A fun before and after video of my niece, our little "Gombe" (doll) at home. It was my sister's dream to see her daughter dressed as an Indian princess, and I loved bringing that vision to life.
A full look at this little princess's traditional outfit. The front view shows her beautiful saree drape and jewelry, while the back view highlights her long floral braid (jadai).
A sweet, candid shot of our little "Gombe". This angle captures her playful personality and the beautiful details of her traditional jewelry and soft makeup.

About this collection
When I work with younger clients, my priority is keeping the makeup age-appropriate and fun. I use heavy hydration and minimal product, focusing on playful eye colors and defined features, ensuring their skin stays happy throughout the event. Whether it is a birthday, naming ceremony, or a traditional function, the goal is to make them feel special without that heavy, adult makeup feel.
I believe every little girl deserves to feel like a 'Gombe' (doll) on her special day. My process for kids’ traditional styling (ages 5–12) is built around patience and comfort.
We start with heavy moisturization—no foundation cakes here—to protect their delicate skin. The eyes are where we have the most fun; a touch of glitter or a soft pop of color usually gets the biggest smiles.
Hairstyling is often the highlight. I specialize in traditional South Indian braids, neat buns, and floral arrangements using fresh gajra or jasmine, which completes the classic pavadai davani or lehenga look. I am also happy to help with the draping of half-sarees or lehengas to ensure they look perfect from the first photo to the last.
Whether you are coming to my studio in J.P. Nagar or need me to travel to your venue in Bengaluru, I make the getting-ready process a stress-free part of your celebration. It is about celebrating their innocence while capturing that traditional elegance.
