About this collection
When styling couples, I focus heavily on color harmony between the bride and groom. I analyze the outfit colors and the venue lighting beforehand to ensure your base and eyeshadow tones complement your partner’s attire, rather than clashing. Whether we are aiming for a soft, radiant look for a ring ceremony or something more defined for the reception stage, my goal is to ensure you both look perfectly in sync in every single frame.
Coordinating Your Special Look
Photography captures everything, and as a MUA, my job is to make sure the makeup doesn't just look good on you, but looks amazing next to your partner. I pay attention to the details that matter in candid shots—the way your highlighter catches the light during an outdoor ring ceremony, or how the lipstick shade holds up against the groom's sherwani colors.
My Approach to Couples' Makeup
- Color Harmony: I always ask for photos of the groom's outfit beforehand. Nanna client-ge enu beku (what my client needs) is my priority, but I also advise on color palettes that make the couple look like a cohesive unit.
- Lighting Adaptability: I adjust my products based on where the event is happening. For outdoor garden events, I lean towards natural, satin finishes that look fresh in daylight. For indoor reception stages with heavy studio lighting, we go for slightly more defined contouring and bold eyes.
- Collaborative Styling: I work closely with hairstylists and jewelry partners to ensure the Maang Tikka or the floral arrangement in your hair doesn't overwhelm your face but frames it beautifully for those intimate couple portraits.
