When we step out of traditional bridal looks and into the editorial space, the technique changes completely. It is less about standard pretty and more about intentionality. Whether it is metallic accents for a photoshoot or using contrasting eyeliner techniques to reshape your gaze, this is where I use my kit to play. One of the most important skills I teach at my academy is how to manipulate features using just product. Take my work on eye shapes, for example. I often demonstrate how a sharp wing liner can elongate and lift the eye, while a smudged, diffused liner creates a softer, mysterious depth. These are not just makeup choices. They are calculated decisions based on lighting, photography angles, and the mood of the shoot.
