Dr. Vishnuvardhan Memorial: A Living Canvas

This project in Mysore is more than a memorial; it is a social and cultural hub designed to serve its rural community. I focused on creating 'in-between' spaces that blend with the landscape, using local materials like brick and exposed concrete, and allowing nature to become part of the architecture over time. The complex includes a photo gallery, a water court for reflection, and an auditorium now used by local children for dance practice.

MCA International Clubhouse: A Campus for Sport & Leisure

For this large-scale masterplan proposal in Pune, my vision was to create a seamless dialogue between sports, leisure, and the landscape. The design organizes different functions like the sports block, accommodation, and museum around the central cricket stadium, using green corridors and seasonal landscapes to connect everything. The architecture itself, with features like undulating balconies and shaded courtyards, is designed to enhance the experience of being in this unique environment.

Reimagining Public Spaces

I believe urban design is an act of care, transforming neglected or chaotic spots into community assets. This selection showcases two distinct international projects. One is an award-winning proposal for Kharkiv's Freedom Square in Ukraine, which uses landscape and 'slow' design principles to create a harmonious public park. The other is a poetic light installation in Amsterdam that invites moments of reflection in a busy urban waterway.

The Urban Workplace, Reimagined

This project, the MSR Tower in Bangalore, is my interpretation of a 'vertical campus.' Instead of a monolithic block, I designed a tower with green breaks, shaded courts, and shared recreational zones. The goal was to infuse the workplace with nature and opportunities for pause, fostering well-being and productivity in a dense urban environment.

Recognition & Publications

I am humbled to have my work recognized by respected institutions and included in significant publications on architecture. These accolades, from the Monocle Design Awards to a research project by Harvard GSD, are a testament to my studio's commitment to thoughtful, context-driven design. They validate my belief in creating spaces that contribute positively to the larger cultural and social tapestry.

Additional Work

While my primary focus is on architecture and urbanism, I also explore design at different scales. This section includes other design explorations, such as product and furniture design, that are guided by the same principles of modularity, function, and human interaction.
