Learning Through Play: Music Classes for Toddlers
For our Little Fingers program, we believe that early music education should feel like playtime. We help kids ages 3 to 5 discover rhythm and melody through movement, games, and exploration in our Safdarjung Enclave studio.
Turning practice into play! A student rolls a large dice to determine which finger to use for this keyboard exercise, a method we use to teach piano basics in an engaging way.
This worksheet helps children learn about their right and left hands, a foundational step for playing instruments like the piano. It's a simple, hands-on activity that connects their body to musical concepts.
Meet Beethoven Bear, our musical mascot! Coloring pages like this are part of our creative sessions, making music theory and history approachable and fun for our youngest learners.

About Learning Through Play
We take the pressure out of music theory. Instead of staring at textbooks, your child might be rolling a giant, colorful die to learn which finger to place on the keyboard or tracing their handprints on a worksheet. It is about building a connection with the instrument, not just memorizing notes.
At Lydian Music Academy, we know that children learn by doing. Our Little Fingers program is built on the belief that for a 3 to 5-year-old, music education should be indistinguishable from play.
Each Saturday, we gather for an hour that balances high-energy movement with focused, quiet exploration. We might spend ten minutes marching to internalize a beat, then move to our NUX digital pianos to experiment with sounds. Miss Awon, who leads these sessions, creates an environment where it is okay to make a mistake—it is just part of the learning process.
We introduce basic concepts like the treble and bass clef, but we do it with puppets, coloring sheets, and our mascot, Beethoven Bear. By the time they finish our 6-month term, students have developed a comfort with instruments that helps them transition smoothly into more structured grade exams if they choose to continue.
We encourage parents to be part of the journey. You will receive tips on how to keep the music going at home, turning our weekly studio time into a lifestyle of curiosity and rhythm. Whether your child is naturally musical or just loves to make noise, they have a place in our tribe.
