About Sitter Sessions & Playful Toddlers
The secret to a perfect sitter session is timing it right, ideally between 6 and 9 months when your little one is sitting steady but not yet running off! If they are already crawling, that is even better for capturing authentic, active energy. Just remember to bring their favorite snacks or a noisy toy, as those often work better than any prop I have in the studio for getting those big, genuine smiles.
Why the Sitter Phase is Special
Around 6 to 9 months, your baby changes daily. They go from sleepy newborns to little people with big opinions and infectious laughs. A sitter session is not just about a pretty portrait; it is about documenting this specific transition where they are curious, interactive, and full of surprise.
What Happens at the Studio
Whether you visit my studio in Kasturi Nagar or prefer an at-home session, my goal is comfort. For these shoots, I use a variety of setups, from clean, classic backdrops that keep the focus entirely on your baby, to creative themes like floral bonnets, vintage carts, or rustic baskets. You do not need to worry about the heavy lifting; I provide the outfits, the wraps, and the sanitized props. You just bring your baby, their comfort items, and a sense of fun.
Making it Personal
Do you have a family heirloom, a special toy, or a cultural outfit you want included? Please bring it along. My best work happens when we mix my studio style with your personal story. While I focus on capturing the baby solo, I always encourage parents to jump in for a few frames. Even if you are just tickling them from behind the camera, those candid interactions often result in the photos you will cherish most in the years to come.
