Timeless Black & White Newborn Portraits
Stripping away the color reveals the raw connection between you and your baby. These monochrome portraits focus on expressions, tiny features, and the quiet, honest love of your growing family.
This is what it's all about: the quiet, powerful connection as you hold your new world in your hands. I focus on capturing these unscripted, emotional moments between parents and their baby, creating timeless black and white portraits that you will treasure forever.

About Timeless Black & White Portraits
When I guide a session for these monochrome portraits, my goal is to reduce visual noise. The focus shifts entirely to the gentle curve of a newborn's cheek, the firm grip of a baby's hand around your finger, or the soft expression of a mother holding her child. It is a classic approach that makes the emotional weight of these early days feel permanent and clear.
In a world of vibrant nursery themes and colorful toys, there is something grounding about black and white photography. These portraits do not compete with the busy environment of a home. Instead, they capture the essence of your newborn and the quiet, powerful love within your family.
For newborns in that crucial 5 to 15 day window, this style works exceptionally well. It emphasizes texture and shape. You notice the velvet softness of their skin and the tiny, perfect details like eyelashes and fingernails that seem to change overnight. Whether we are shooting in my Bellandur studio or at your home in Bengaluru, I set up the lighting specifically to flatter these monochrome tones.
Many parents worry about posing, but with this style, we focus on connection rather than complicated positions. I want to see you cuddling, soothing, or just admiring your baby. If you have a sentimental item like a blanket or a family heirloom, black and white photography often makes it feel more classic and permanent.
In your final gallery, I usually include a blend of both color and monochrome images. This provides a complete perspective of your baby's first weeks. You get the bright, joyful colors of the studio props and the deep, emotive simplicity of these portraits. It creates a balanced collection that captures both the fun and the quiet, intimate reality of growing your family.
