About Family Portraits
If you are worried about forcing your kids to sit still or getting everyone to smile at the camera simultaneously, rest assured that is not how I work. My family sessions are built around movement and interaction, which means we spend our time capturing the actual dynamic of your household rather than checking rigid, stiff poses off a list.
I believe that the best family portraits happen when you stop trying to look perfect and just start being a family. When we shoot in my Bellandur studio, I use a mix of boho-chic furniture and clean, solid backdrops to keep the focus entirely on you, not the set. If you prefer the outdoors, we can head to spots like Cubbon Park or Lalbagh where the light is soft and the kids have room to run.
Why my approach works
- Movement is good: If your toddler wants to roll around or your teenager is laughing at an inside joke, that is exactly what I want to capture. These candid interactions create a much more honest legacy than a row of people saying cheese.
- The style: I lean toward warm, natural tones and classic black and white conversions. These edits help strip away the distractions, leaving you with images that feel timeless rather than trendy.
- The process: You don’t need to be a model. I guide you through the session, suggesting placements and interactions that keep everyone comfortable. We usually take about two hours, which includes enough time for snack breaks or outfit changes, especially if we have little ones involved.
Whether you are a family of three or an entire clan including grandparents, my goal is to deliver a gallery of high-resolution files that you would actually want to print and hang on your wall.
