Interactive Self-Defense Seminars for Teams & Colleges
I run hands-on workshops that turn theory into practical reflexes. We focus on real-world situational awareness and physical techniques to build your team's confidence and alertness.
Addressing a group of students at the start of a self-defense workshop. I always begin by setting the context: this is about empowerment, awareness, and building confidence, not aggression.
Explaining the principles behind a technique. It's not just about the physical movement, but understanding the 'why' so you can adapt it to real-world situations. This was during a workshop at Sri Aurobindo College.
The atmosphere in my workshops is interactive and engaging. Here, I'm working with participants, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and involved in the learning process.
A candid moment during a Q&A session. I encourage questions and open dialogue to ensure the techniques and principles are clearly understood by everyone.
A view from the audience. My goal is to command the room with calm authority, creating a focused learning environment where every participant feels seen and engaged.
Leading the session at the SAMTA Women Development Cell workshop. It's about creating a safe space for participants to learn and practice new skills.
About Interactive Self-Defense Seminars
My workshops aren't lectures where you sit back and watch. You will be on your feet, practicing palm heel strikes, knee strikes, and release techniques for common threats like wrist grabs. I come with the focus pads and kicking shields, so expect to sweat a little and walk out with more than just theory—you will have actual moves in your muscle memory.
I don't believe in boring, passive team-building exercises. When I lead a self-defense seminar, my goal is to give you skills that actually matter when you are out in the world, whether you are commuting or navigating a high-pressure office environment.
What We Actually Do
- Situational Awareness: We start by talking about how to spot threats before they happen. It is not about living in fear, but about staying alert.
- Release Techniques: You will learn how to break out of common holds like wrist grabs or chokeholds. We practice this until it feels automatic.
- Striking Drills: We use focus pads to work on palm heel, knee, and elbow strikes. This is where you learn to generate power for close-quarters defense.
- Improvised Weapons: We look at how to use everyday items like a bag or a pen to create distance and safety.
Why This Matters
Martial arts is about discipline and resilience. I bring the same focus I use in the ring to these sessions. We practice, we fail, we adjust, and we improve. You will walk away feeling more capable and physically ready to handle unexpected situations.
Logistics & Setup
I travel across Delhi NCR for these workshops. I bring all the gear—focus pads and shields—to your venue. All I need from you is an open space. Whether you are a corporate team looking to build trust or a student group at a college like Delhi University, we can scale the session to fit your group size and experience level.
Arka Mandal
I’m Arka. For me, martial arts is about more than winning matches—it’s about the discipline to handle life, both in the ring and in the office. I bring that same fighter's mindset into my workshops, teaching you how to stay sharp, alert, and ready when it counts.
