Beyond the mats, I work with athletic associations to shape the future of combat sports in Delhi. Here is a look at my commitment to sports administration and officiating.

Being formally recognized during my appointment as an Executive Board Member of the All Delhi Kickboxing Association. This role is a responsibility I take seriously to serve our community of athletes.

In the thick of it. Officiating requires intense focus and collaboration with other judges to ensure every decision is fair and accurate. This was a moment of discussion at the national championship.

About Leadership & Official Roles

Governing combat sports requires the same discipline as a championship final. When I serve on the board of the All Delhi Kickboxing Association, my focus is on strategic planning, policy development, and upholding the integrity of our matches. It is about creating the right environment for athletes to compete fairly, whether we are meeting at the Constitution Club or managing the officiating panel at a national championship.

My journey from a practitioner to an administrator has been about understanding the entire ecosystem of the sport. Being appointed as an Executive Board Member of the All Delhi Kickboxing Association (WAKO INDIA) is a responsibility I carry with the same weight as any competition.

The Role of an Official

Officiating is not just about watching the clock. At events like the 20th ITF National Taekwon-Do Championship, my role was to work within a team of judges to ensure fairness and safety. This involves long hours of intense focus, constant communication with my colleagues, and the ability to make split-second decisions that impact an athlete's career. It is an exercise in mental toughness, just like being in the ring.

Strategic Governance

Much of the work happens outside the spotlight, in board meetings at venues like the Press Club of India. Working alongside leaders like Sonal Goel IAS, our objective is to provide a solid infrastructure for athletes. This includes:

  • Planning and sanctioning events that adhere to national standards.
  • Developing policies that support athlete growth and welfare.
  • Coordinating with governing bodies to ensure our local talent has a pathway to international competitions.

My approach here is simple: if we are not providing a platform that empowers the fighter, we are not doing our jobs. Whether I am teaching a corporate workshop or sitting on a governing body, my goal remains the same—building discipline, ensuring integrity, and championing the fighter's spirit at every level.
