Behind the Scenes: My Mehndi Art Journey and Process
Mehndi is more than just patterns, it is a spiritual practice for me. This is where I share my creative journey, from the first sketch on paper to the final, intricate details on a bride's hand.
A compilation of my work, including a beautiful bride and groom portrait and a classic dulhan (bride) figure. These pieces are often the centerpiece of a bridal mehndi design.
I am on a beautiful journey to become the best version of myself through my art. This is me in my element, focused and passionate about creating beautiful mehndi.

About Behind the Scenes
You often see the final henna stain, but the real work starts hours before. I spend significant time prepping my own henna mix—understanding the texture and consistency of the paste is the secret to getting those sharp, clean lines that last. When you book me or join my class, that preparation is part of what guarantees the deep, rich color and precision you see in my work.
For me, henna art is 'Angat asleli kala' (the art within you). It is not just about drawing; it is about understanding the flow of the design and the patience required to execute it.
The Art of Mixology
My process begins long before I touch a cone to skin. I believe in organic, chemical-free henna. Teaching 'henna mixology' is a cornerstone of my classes in Goregaon because I want my students to know exactly what goes into the paste. Using the right powder and oil mix is what achieves that dark, authentic stain, rather than relying on store-bought alternatives.
Why Practice Matters
People often ask how I get my lines so thin and my portraits so realistic. The answer is simple: drills. My sessions involve rigorous practice on paper and laminated sheets before we ever move to live hands. Whether we are focusing on bridal figures, Pichwai art, or complex mandala designs, we build muscle memory first. This is why I keep my batches small—so I can personally check your pressure control and cone grip.
A Local Mumbai Perspective
Operating from my studio in Goregaon West, I work with brides who want everything from traditional Indian palm fillings to modern Arabic layouts. I treat every client’s wedding as a personal event. Whether you are looking for a bridal artist who understands wedding storytelling or a mentor to help you master portrait mehndi, I am here to share the craft that has been my blessing for years.
