Behind the Lens: My Photography Process
People see the final pet portrait, but they rarely see the early mornings and the hours of editing. Here is a look at what actually goes into making your pet look their best.
Everyone talks about photography skills, but I believe editing is just as important. This video shows how post-processing can transform a good photo into a great one, making the final image truly perfect.
To keep my editing process fast and smooth, I recently upgraded my laptop's RAM from 8GB to 32GB. This technical boost is a game-changer, especially for handling high-resolution photos and videos.
Getting the perfect shot often means getting right up close and personal. Here I am with Sky the Husky, making him comfortable with the camera to capture his stunning blue eyes and friendly face.
This is where I feel most at home, with my camera in hand, watching the sunrise over a lake. Finding the right light and the right moment is a key part of my process.
About Behind the Lens: My Process
Everyone talks about photography skills, but the real magic happens at my desk. To get those sharp, clean shots you see in my gallery, I do not just rely on my camera; I spend hours post-processing. I even upgraded my laptop to 32GB RAM just so my editing workflow stays fast and precise. When you hire me, you are not just paying for the click, you are paying for the craft I put into every single frame to ensure your pet's personality truly shines through.
From Wildlife to Pet Portraits
My journey started in the wild, waiting hours for a Great Cormorant to fly into the frame. That taught me that you cannot rush nature. When I shoot your pets, I bring that same mindset. Whether it is a hyperactive Husky or a shy Indie, I wait for the moment they feel safe and stop performing for the camera. That is when I get the shot.
The Editing Workflow
I am obsessed with the details. After the shoot, the raw files are just the beginning. I spend my time color grading and cleaning up distractions—doing leash removals and background adjustments—to make sure the focus remains entirely on your furry friend. If you look at my gallery, you will see the difference between a casual snapshot and a professional portrait. It is all in the post-processing.
Where I Shoot
I mostly shoot in Bengaluru’s parks like Cubbon Park or Lalbagh. I prefer natural light and open spaces. No fancy studio lights that scare pets. Just me, my gear, and your best friend having a good time in their natural environment. If you want a session that is relaxed, patient, and focused on quality over quantity, you are in the right place.
