Indian Voice & Hindustani Music

We offer an immersive journey into Hindustani khayal music, focusing on voice development and attuning to the nuances of a raag. Our classes, available for solo learners, groups, and children, also provide exposure to allied forms like qawwali, thumri, and folk music, taught by experienced performing artists.

Kathak & Classical Indian Dance

Our Kathak classes, rooted in the Lucknow Gharana, are designed for learners aged 14 and above. We cover everything from the fundamentals like hastaks and footwork to classical and semi-classical choreographies, taught by an instructor with years of performance experience.

Contemporary Dance & Movement

Connect with your body through floor work, movement sequences, and improvisation. Our classes integrate contemporary and modern dance with somatic practices like yoga and Kalaripayattu, creating a playful space to engage with your inner rhythm.

The Vocal Circle: Group Singing

This is not your traditional choir. Our Vocal Circle is a weekly ensemble where we explore a cross-genre repertoire, focusing on melody, harmony, and rhythm in a relaxed, supportive setting. No auditions are required, just a passion for singing together.

Western Voice & Songwriting

From jazz and blues to pop and indie-folk, our Western voice classes help you develop vocal technique, enunciation, and tone. We also offer courses in songwriting and music production, where you can learn everything from music theory to crafting your own songs using a DAW.

Instrumental Music: Guitar, Piano & Drums

We offer personalized solo lessons for a range of instruments. Our courses cover guitar (acoustic, electric, classical, bass, ukulele), piano and keyboards, and drums and percussion, with lessons tailored for all skill levels from beginner to advanced.

Specialized Workshops & Theatre

We frequently host a variety of unique, short-term workshops led by visiting artists and our expert faculty. These sessions explore diverse art forms like Dabke dance, clowning, theatre games, bamboo music, and the Theatre of the Oppressed, offering something new for everyone.

Youth Programs & Summer Camps

We offer engaging programs designed specifically for children and teens. Our Indian Group Voice classes for ages 6-10 provide a fun introduction to music, while our summer camps in collaboration with partners like Alliance Française de Delhi offer a diverse range of artistic activities.

Meet Our Artists & Faculty

You learn from artists who are active performers and experts in their fields. Our faculty includes PhDs, indie musicians, international dancers, and fusion band members, all dedicated to sharing their passion and knowledge in a supportive environment.

Our Community & Creative Space

Lilanoor is more than just a school; it's a sangam where cultures and ideas meet. Our space is a warm sanctuary filled with music, art, and a library of over 120 books. Here, we foster a community of artists and learners who support and inspire one another.
