Where the raw intensity of Flamenco meets the spiritual depth of Sufi music. A live, improvisational dance dialogue for your event.

A raw, live improvisation with the exceptionally versatile Mujtaba Naza. Our Flamenco-Qawwali collaboration is about being in the moment and letting the music guide the dance.

This journey is fueled by passion. A special live improvisation from a sunset-to-sunrise concert, where I had the honor of collaborating with the maestro Mujtaba Naza.

A snapshot from our 'Flamenco Sufi India Project'. This performance is a rich tapestry of Flamenco, Kathak, Rajasthani Folk, and Sufi Qawwali, creating a complete live experience.

Performing a Flamenco Sufi fusion piece as the opening act at a large concert in Mumbai. It was an amazing opportunity to share this soulful expression on a grand stage.

'Tere sawaal, mere jawaab'. A clip from an intimate jam session where my footwork responds to the intricate 'sargam' of the Qawwali singer, creating a spontaneous dialogue.

Less is more. In this Flamenco-Qawwali fusion, the dance becomes an internal emotion expressed externally, a direct response to the soulful music.

My love for the stage and live improvisation. This clip shows a Flamenco footwork and rhythm piece from our collaboration with a phenomenal Qawwali band.

The full stage setup for our 'Flamenco Sufi India Project'. The beautiful backdrop and lighting create the perfect atmosphere for this spiritual and artistic fusion.

About Soulful Sufi & Qawwali Fusion

These aren't choreographed shows where we just hit marks on a stage. This is a real-time conversation between my footwork and the Qawwali singer's voice. When you hire us for this fusion, understand that we don't rehearse the emotion—we create it on the spot, so every performance feels raw, alive, and completely unique to your crowd.

The core of my 'Flamenco Sufi India Project' is about finding the common ground between two ancient traditions. People often ask how Spanish Flamenco blends with Sufi Qawwali, and the answer is simple: rhythm and surrender. Both forms rely on a deep, almost meditative connection between the artist and the audience.

My collaboration with artists like Mujtaba Naza is built on trust. We don't have a rigid setlist because the energy changes every time we perform. Whether it's at a private Sangeet in Mumbai or a large-scale cultural festival, I listen to the nuances of the Tabla and the intensity of the vocals, then let my Zapateado (footwork) respond. It is a 'jugalbandi' in the truest sense.

What to expect for your event:

  • A Living Dialogue: This is not background music. It is a performance that demands attention, perfect for audiences who appreciate storytelling and raw, unfiltered energy.
  • Live Band Setup: We perform with a live ensemble, including Flamenco guitar, percussion, and Qawwali vocals. This requires specific audio setups to ensure the percussive elements of the dance floor and the vocal depth are balanced correctly.
  • Space Requirements: To capture the sound of the footwork, we need a wooden stage overlay. It changes everything—the vibration, the sound, and the connection with the audience.

This fusion is for those who want to move past the typical Bollywood dance set and offer their guests something that feels like an emotional journey.

I’m Kunal Om. After 30 years of dance, I’ve realized that Flamenco and Sufi music are two sides of the same coin—they both come from a place of pure surrender. When I stand on stage with musicians like Mujtaba Naza, it’s not about showmanship. It’s about letting the soul take over.
