About Flamenco & Kathak Jugalbandi

To pull off this fusion, you need more than a stage; you need a proper wooden surface. Whether we are in a banquet hall or an intimate studio, I specifically ask for a wooden floor or a plywood overlay because the thump of my heels and the jingle of ghungroos (bells) is where the conversation happens. Without that base, you lose the percussive soul of the dialogue.
