About Project Spotlight: A Study in White & Gold
The challenge with white kitchens is keeping them looking new, which is why we used high-gloss acrylic here. It does not just reflect light to make the space feel bigger. It is also incredibly easy to wipe clean after daily cooking, unlike standard matte laminates that trap grease and moisture.
This L-shaped kitchen balances a neutral white palette with gold accents, creating a space that feels bright without being sterile. The mosaic backsplash is not just for aesthetics. It provides a durable, heat-resistant surface that stands up to the demands of a busy kitchen.
For the cabinetry, we utilized high-gloss acrylic shutters paired with a BWP (Boiling Water Proof) Marine Grade Plywood core. This material choice is crucial for Indian homes where humidity and steam are constant factors. Acrylic offers a mirror-like finish that makes smaller kitchens feel expansive, and unlike cheaper laminates, it resists yellowing and peeling over time.
Inside the cabinets, we installed German soft-close hinges from Hettich. This ensures that even with heavy daily use, your drawers and shutters will not slam, protecting the furniture structure over the long term. We also incorporated open shelving alongside closed units to mix display space with practical storage.
When we plan your kitchen, we do not just look at the layout. We look at your cooking flow. Whether you need a breakfast counter, a dedicated appliance garage to hide your OTG, or a tall pantry unit for dry storage, we customize the internals to fit your lifestyle. If you are considering a similar renovation, the first step is understanding which materials survive your specific cooking routine.
