About Royal & Traditional Motifs
When picking a royal design, it really comes down to the balance between the central motif and the surrounding negative space. Whether you choose a majestic elephant or a classic peacock set in a jharokha, I always ensure the design breathes so the henna stain shows up dark and clear on your skin.
Why Traditional Indian Motifs Never Go Out of Style
There is a reason why royal Indian mehndi remains a favourite for weddings and festivals. It is not just about covering the hand, it is about storytelling. Elements like peacocks represent grace and beauty, while elephants and palace architecture (like the jharokha windows) bring that regal, grand feel that elevates your bridal or event look.
My Approach to Royal Henna
I focus on ultra-fine details for these designs. Using a 0.38mm cone tip, I create the intricate 'jaali' (net) work and shading that gives these traditional patterns their depth. Because these designs are usually dense, I prioritize the quality of my organic henna paste. It is freshly mixed with essential oils to ensure safety and that deep, dark stain that everyone wants.
Planning Your Design
If you love a traditional aesthetic but are worried about it being too heavy, we can scale it. We can do a 'minimalist royal' look—perhaps a single, beautifully detailed peacock on the palm with lighter work on the fingers. Or, if you want full bridal-grade coverage, we can add custom elements like your wedding date or initials hidden within the palace arches.
Whether it is a Sangeet, Roka, or the main wedding day, these designs are meant to last and look stunning in photos. Let me know what your vibe is, and we can customise the pattern to match your personality perfectly.
