About Modern & Intimate Portraits
For these intimate sessions, I use controlled lighting in my Ghansoli studio to set a mood that feels more like home than a clinical space. We use a mix of soft continuous lights and strobes to keep the focus entirely on your connection, rather than the backdrop. It is a 4-hour process where we take the time to settle in, so you are not rushing to perform for the camera.
Creating these portraits is about removing the pressure. Most couples come in thinking they need to know how to pose, but that is my job. I use 17+ different seamless paper backdrops and specialized equipment like snoots and grids to create shadows that feel moody and cinematic.
If you choose an indoor session, we have a full changing room and vanity mirror at the studio, so you can transition between looks without any stress. We aim for 15 high-end retouched photos that highlight the skin and color grading, ensuring the final images look just as good as they felt in the moment.
For outdoor location shoots, we keep it mobile with off-camera flashes and reflectors to manage the harsh Mumbai light. Whether we are in a park or at a heritage site, we work in half-day blocks to ensure we capture the soft light during the golden hour. I also coordinate with my #mpfamily of stylists and makeup artists if you want a complete look, so you have everything you need in one place.
