Standard E-commerce Model Shoot
Logistics & Setup
- Studio Access: Full use of Ghansoli facility including makeup room and private changing booth.
- Backgrounds: Selection from 17 Seamless Paper colors (White, Grey, Beige, Lavender, etc).
- Angles: 3-4 standard shots per product (Front, Back, Side, Detail).
Lighting & Gear
- Lighting: 4x Godox DS400 II strobes with Large Octabox for shadow-less marketplace compliance.
- Camera: High-resolution full-frame DSLR/Mirrorless capture.
- Support: Photographer directing the model for standard catalog poses.
Deliverables
- Editing: Basic color correction, white balance, and cropping to platform ratios (4:5 or 1:1).
- Turnaround: 3-5 business days.
Tabletop Product & Flatlay Photography
Composition & Styling
- Backgrounds: Access to 6 textured sheets (Marble, Wood, Slate) or standard colors.
- Style: Top-down flatlays or front-facing hero shots for rigid products.
- Props: Use of in-house generic props (leaves, stones, ribbons).
Technical Execution
- Gear: Tripod and Macro lens setup for high-detail jewelry or texture focus.
- Lighting: Precision control using softboxes and reflectors to manage reflections on shiny surfaces.
- Technique: Focus stacking if required for edge-to-edge sharpness.
Post-Processing
- Retouching: Dust/scratch removal from product surfaces.
- Format: Deep etching for transparent backgrounds (PNG) or standard lifestyle edit.
- Quality: Ultra-high resolution files suitable for digital zoom or print.
Creative Campaign & Editorial Shoot
Creative Direction
- Advanced Lighting: RGB gels (Orange/Teal), Snoots, and Projection Kit with 12 Gobo shapes.
- Set Design: Use of colored studio corners (Peacock Blue/Yellow) and lifestyle props.
- Consultation: Brief alignment on mood board and theme prior to shooting.
Studio Specs
- Team Support: Includes photographer and light assistant for modifier swaps.
- Tech: Tethered shooting to laptop for real-time feedback and video light availability for Reels.
- Environment: Fully Air-Conditioned studio.
Output
- Volume: Approximately 10-15 polished images delivered per hour of shooting.
- Retouching: Includes skin retouching (blemish removal/smoothing) for selected hero shots.
About Commercial & Product Photography
My Approach
Every brand has its own vibe. I try to catch that in every photo — not just making products look good but making them feel like ‘you’. My thing is, if your product doesn’t stand out or connect with people, the photo isn’t doing its job.
Studio Setup in Mumbai
Most shoots go down at my studio. It's kitted out with proper studio lighting and all kinds of backdrops, so we’re not dealing with random shadows or weird colors. My regular crew - models, stylists, MUAs - we all work together to get the look right. Sometimes, things can take a bit longer if we’re chasing that exact mood, but it’s worth it.
What I Shoot
- E-commerce product visuals: Clean, sharp images on white or neutral backgrounds. All those classic catalog shots, plus close-ups for details.
- Lifestyle brand photography: Want your product in a real-life scene? We do that. Helps people imagine your stuff in their homes or on themselves.
- Fashion catalog shoots: From simple lookbooks to full-on creative editorials with props, colored lighting, whatever works for your collection.
- Beauty, jewelry, festive campaigns - love creating those scroll-stopping shots, especially for Insta. For festivals, I can make your brand feel totally ‘ghar ki baat’ (close to home).
How I Work
It’s always a group effort. I handle the technical bits like studio lighting photography and editing, but I’m always open to new ideas and moodboards. If you’re after something a little hatke (offbeat), I’m up for experimenting. Sometimes shoots are chill, sometimes we’re running around - but we always get the shot.
