Step away from standard catalog shots. I love experimenting with colored gels, slow shutter speeds, and dramatic shadows to create that 'hatke' (offbeat) look for your brand campaigns.

A striking portrait using a mix of warm and cool colored light gels. This technique creates a dramatic, high-fashion look and makes the model's features pop.

Using a slow shutter speed to create artistic light trails. This effect adds a sense of motion and energy to the portrait, perfect for an edgy campaign.

Another experimental shot combining a slow shutter with a flash to create a ghostly, layered effect. It's an abstract and artistic way to capture a mood.

A similar double-exposure effect that creates a mysterious and captivating portrait.

This portrait uses the light trails to frame the model, creating a dynamic and visually interesting composition.

A close-up portrait where the motion blur from the slow shutter adds a dreamy, ethereal quality.

A full-body shot where the light trails create a sense of powerful movement around the model.

A pensive pose enhanced by the abstract streaks of light, adding an emotional depth to the image.

A profile shot where the light trails seem to emanate from the model, creating a vibrant and energetic feel.

A final portrait in the series, combining a strong pose with the creative lighting for a memorable and artistic image.

About Creative Studio Portraits

When we move into creative campaign shoots, I ditch the standard setup. We will be using RGB gels and projection gobos to paint with light right here in my Ghansoli studio. It is an interactive process where I tether my camera to a laptop so you see exactly how the shot looks in real-time, letting us adjust the mood board on the fly until we nail that exact vision.
