The Story of Krishna Sweta: From Zaveri Bazaar to You
We are not just a brand; we are a family legacy. My father spent years learning the intricate art of jewellery making in Zaveri Bazaar, and today, we continue that tradition with pieces crafted by our own artisans across India.
This isn't just a business, it's my father's legacy. I want to share the story of how Krishna Sweta began in Zaveri Bazaar, built on years of trust and a deep understanding of jewellery craftsmanship. Every piece we create carries his name and our family's promise of honesty.
I want to show you that we don't just buy and sell jewellery. Most of our pieces are made by our own artisans across India, from Mumbai to Jaipur and Kolkata. Each piece you wear has a journey and a story of skilled craftsmanship behind it.
People often judge imitation jewellery too quickly. The only thing different is the metal. The skill, the time, the precision, and the hands that craft each piece are the same as those for fine jewellery. This is the value and artistry we stand for at Krishna Sweta.
Come on a quick tour of our two-floor showroom in the heart of Mumbai's Zaveri Bazaar. Whether it's for a wedding or a festival, we have organized our collections to help you find the perfect piece, from Kundan and Polki to modern AD sets for every budget.
About Our Story: A Legacy of Craft
People often assume that imitation jewellery is mass-produced, but that is not our reality. Every piece you see is the result of direct oversight by our family, with moulds, stone settings, and polishing handled by our own karigars in Mumbai, Jaipur, and Kolkata. This means when you choose a design, you are getting an item that has been hand-finished to ensure the stones are secure and the plating holds its lustre.
My father started his journey with a small shop in Mumbai's Zaveri Bazaar, learning the trade from the ground up. He taught us that imitation jewellery is not 'fake' but a distinct category of craft. The only difference between what we create and fine jewellery is the base metal. We use high-quality brass alloy, often lead and nickel-free, to ensure skin comfort while maintaining the look of gold.
Our process involves artisans from three distinct hubs. Jaipur artisans handle our intricate Kundan and Meenakari work, Kolkata brings the precision in filigree, and our Mumbai team manages the final assembly and plating. This allows us to maintain a balance of traditional Rajwadi styles and modern AD shine. We do not just sell products; we manage the entire lifecycle of your jewellery. Whether it is a heavy Ranihaar for a wedding or a pair of chandbalis for a festive event, we ensure every piece passes our quality checks before it leaves our store. You are not just buying an accessory; you are wearing a part of our history.
Krishna Sweta
My name is Prashant, and I run Krishna Sweta with my brother, continuing the work my father started decades ago. We are not a faceless brand, and we do not believe in quick-fix trends. We are here to show you that imitation jewellery, when made with heart, is an art form of its own.
