About Kundan & Rajwadi Royalty
A lot of people ask me why our Kundan feels different. It is because we do not just assemble parts. Our karigars in Mumbai and Jaipur hand-solder every piece and use reverse Meenakari on the back, which is a traditional technique that gives the jewellery its weight and authentic antique finish. When you hold these sets, you will feel they are not lightweight plastic; they are crafted with the same precision my father taught me when he started this journey.
Honouring a Legacy in Every Piece
When you see 'Rajwadi' or 'Kundan' in our collection, you are looking at a process that begins far from a showroom floor. My father started in Zaveri Bazaar decades ago, and he taught us that the difference between imitation and art is the attention to detail. We do not just buy and sell; we work with our own karigars to create pieces that respect the history of Indian jewellery.
The Art of Kundan and Rajwadi
True Kundan work is defined by the stone setting and the finish. We use a brass alloy base that is lead and nickel-free to ensure it holds the weight of the uncut stones and Meenakari enamel work without causing skin irritation.
- The Weight: Authentic heritage sets should have a certain heft. Our Ranihaar and bib-style chokers range from 150g to 250g, designed to sit perfectly on your collarbone.
- The Finish: We focus on an antique Victorian or high-gloss gold polish that mimics the look of real Jadau jewellery. If you look at the backside of our heavier sets, you will see the hand-done Meenakari enamel, which is a hallmark of traditional craftsmanship.
- The Stones: We use star-cut American Diamonds and semi-precious beads that simulate rubies and emeralds, giving you the grand look of a royal wedding set at a fraction of the gold cost.
Styling for Your Occasions
Whether you are a bride looking for a heavy Ranihaar for the big day or a wedding guest wanting a statement choker, these pieces are designed to be versatile. The adjustable dori (thread) and high-quality hooks ensure the necklace stays in place all day. If you are picking a set for a festive event, pair it with a simple silk saree or a lehenga, and let the jewellery do the talking.
