Custom Balcony Makeovers in Bengaluru
I turn empty, boring balcony corners into personal sanctuaries. Whether you need a cozy reading nook, a green garden escape, or a peaceful spot for your morning coffee, I design and build it to fit your space and budget.
This is what I love to do: create simple, elegant, and cosy balcony seat-out areas. This project features a foldable wooden table and chairs, a vertical planter wall, and lush artificial grass to give it a natural, refreshing look. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee.
For this balcony, the client wanted a full green carpet look. I covered both the floor and the back wall in high-quality artificial grass, creating a built-in seating area and a vibrant backdrop for the decor, which includes ethnic masks and a dreamcatcher.
An evening view of a cosy balcony I designed. The space features a custom metal chair and table set, a pinewood window frame on a green wall, and is lit with a garland of colourful bulbs, creating a magical and inviting atmosphere after sunset.
This urban balcony design is clean, classy, and comfortable. I used polished pinewood for the wall panelling and a custom bench, complemented by a beautiful rope and bamboo hanging lamp that adds a rustic yet modern touch.
This is a great example of a minimalist, no-maintenance balcony. The design uses clean lines with black metal furniture, wooden deck tiles, and a few carefully chosen plants to create a simple, uncluttered, and modern outdoor space.
Here is another view of the Rajasthani-themed balcony. The combination of the pinewood bench, traditional textiles, and ethnic wall decor like the jharokhas and puppets creates a truly unique and culturally rich seating area.
Balconies can be fun for kids too! I designed this corner with a jungle theme for one of my youngest clients. It features a green grass wall with animal cutouts, a small play ladder, and a cute yellow birdhouse.
Creating a serene and peaceful vibe was the goal for this balcony. I used a beautiful black and gold Buddha statue as the centerpiece, complemented by a modern wooden shelf with planters and a soft artificial grass floor. It’s a truly blissful space.
This balcony was designed to be a dedicated meditation space. I built a custom pinewood vertical structure with shelves for plants and decor, centered around a calming Buddha statue to create a quiet corner for relaxation.
Good vibes only in this simple and beautiful balcony. The design features a low-profile bench and floating shelves made from natural pinewood, set against a textured wall and artificial grass floor for a clean, organic feel.
About Balcony Makeovers: Your Personal Oasis
Before we start, I typically sketch out your vision and we discuss the layout to ensure it handles your specific space constraints, whether you have a tiny apartment balcony or a larger outdoor area. It usually takes about three days to transform a bare, grey space into a functional 'sukoon' (peace) spot with durable pine, artificial grass, and tailored seating.
Creating a usable balcony in a city like Bengaluru is about more than just aesthetics; it is about reclaiming a piece of your home. My approach focuses on 'sukoon', the deep sense of peace that comes from a well-designed, functional space. I work primarily with durable materials like polished pinewood and high-quality artificial grass, which are perfect for our local weather and require minimal maintenance.
The Design Process Every makeover starts with a conversation. We discuss what you want, whether it is a meditation corner with a Buddha statue, a jungle-themed play area for kids, or a minimalist seating area with a foldable railing table. Once we align on the vision, I create a rough sketch. This is not just about decoration; it is about layout efficiency. We assess sunlight exposure and wind patterns to decide whether to use live hardy plants like Snake plants or realistic artificial options that withstand the Bangalore sun.
Practical Considerations Many of my clients worry about maintenance or space limitations. For small apartment balconies, I often integrate space-saving solutions like railing tables, vertical hanging planters, and multipurpose benches with storage. If safety is a concern, especially for families with pets or kids, I can integrate invisible safety grills that protect the area without obstructing your view.
Whether it is installing a custom vertical garden or setting up a cozy reading nook with pallet seating and warm lighting, I handle the execution from start to finish. You do not need a massive terrace to create an oasis. With the right mix of texture, greenery, and intentional seating, even the smallest corner can become your favorite part of the house. Let us create a space that feels like yours.
