Sacred Vows and Pheras Photography
The heart of your wedding day is in these moments—the sacred promises, the quiet glances, and the tradition that binds two stories into one.
The sacred pheras around the holy fire. This shot, with the shower of red petals, feels like it's straight from a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, full of tradition and grandeur.
A dreamy, cinematic shot of the pheras, with smoke and confetti adding to the atmosphere. I focus on capturing the movement and emotion of this sacred ritual.
The couple taking their seven steps together, surrounded by the love and blessings of their family. The red confetti creates a vibrant and celebratory mood.
A candid moment during the pheras, with family members joyfully showering the couple with petals.
A beautiful black and white photo of the bride blushing during her pheras. It's a quiet, intimate moment that speaks volumes.
The bride walking down the aisle in a beautiful church. I love capturing the grandeur of a church wedding and the emotion of this significant walk.
A collage from a church ceremony, showing the couple at the altar and the sweet "Bride" and "Groom" signs on their chairs.
The pheras during a sunset beach wedding. The stunning ocean backdrop and the beautifully decorated mandap make this an unforgettable setting for their vows.

About Sacred Vows & Pheras
During the pheras, I do not just stand back. I use dedicated lapel microphones to capture the audio of your vows and the priest’s chants, which allows me to layer that real sound into your final cinematic film. It ensures that when you watch your wedding video years from now, you are not just seeing the ceremony, but you are hearing the exact moment you promised your forever to each other.
Capturing the Soul of the Ceremony
The pheras and wedding vows are where the energy shifts from the fun and chaos of the celebrations to something more grounding and personal. My approach to these sacred moments is to blend into the background. You will not find me directing you during the actual ceremony, as my goal is to let the rituals unfold naturally while I hunt for the raw emotion in your faces and the reactions from your family.
Lighting and Rituals
Whether you are getting married in a traditional mandap under a canopy of lights or at a church altar, lighting is usually the biggest challenge. The holy fire during pheras creates dynamic light that can be tricky, often leading to harsh shadows or blown out highlights if not handled correctly. I use professional mirrorless setups that allow me to balance the glow of the fire with the ambient light of the venue, ensuring the details of your attire and expressions stay sharp.
A Mix of Traditions
I have extensive experience documenting diverse wedding rites. From the methodical pacing of a Christian church ceremony to the fast paced, petal filled joy of a Hindu phera, I know where to stand to get the best angle. For outdoor sunset weddings, I keep an eye on the natural light, making sure the golden hour works in our favor for those portraits of you taking your seven steps. If you are planning a destination wedding in places like Goa or Jaipur, I adapt my gear to the location, ensuring the backdrop of the mandap or the church aisle is as much a part of the story as the two of you.
