About Sacred Vows & Ceremonies
When I photograph ceremonies, my team and I prioritize staying in the background. We avoid directing rituals or asking for posed shots during the vows. Whether we are working in a tight temple space or a large Mandap, we use silent shutters and natural lighting to capture the sequence of events without interrupting the sanctity of the moment.
Weddings are collections of fleeting traditions. I treat each ritual as a narrative—the way a father holds his daughter’s hand, the quiet focus during an Anand Karaj, or the solemnity of a church exchange. My goal is to capture the cultural nuance of your ceremony exactly as it unfolds.
I avoid the distraction of constant directing. Instead, I rely on a documentary approach. My team and I understand the rhythm of diverse rituals—Hindu, Sikh, or Christian—so we are in the right position before the key moment occurs. I prefer natural light whenever possible, but I am fully equipped with off-camera flash setups to ensure that even in dimly lit indoor venues, the details of your attire and expressions remain sharp. This allows you to stay present in your own wedding while I gather the visual story of your commitment.
