This video shows the details of the Mogra Haar, from the woven white "buds" to the central red flower with a pearl accent. You can order these in any color and size you like for your home idols or photos.
Wishing everyone a Happy Ganesh Chaturthi with my Mogra Haar adorning a Ganesha frame. May this festival bring joy and love to your family.
A closer look at the pendant of the Mogra Haar. The design includes a central flower, pearl strings, and fluffy red pom-poms, adding a special touch to the garland. Custom orders are always welcome.
This Mogra Haar was a custom order. Many customers asked for a different design after seeing my other garlands, so I created this piece. It can be made into a haar, toran, or latkan in any color and length.
About this collection
Unlike fresh jasmine strings that wilt within hours, these handmade crochet Mogra garlands are crafted to last. You can gently wash them with mild detergent when needed, keeping them looking pristine for your next festival or special pooja. Every garland features a delicate spiral bud design with pearl spacers, and because I craft them by hand, I can customize the length and color accents to perfectly match your specific home altar or photo frame.
Inspired by Tradition
My Mogra Haar designs are inspired by the classic look of mogryachya kalyanche (jasmine buds). I wanted to create something that brings the fragrance of tradition into your home, without the hassle of dealing with wilting flowers.
Craftsmanship and Care
Each garland is created using high-grade 4-ply yarn, which gives the buds a soft, realistic texture that holds its shape. To ensure the garland feels premium, I integrate high-quality faux pearls (moti) as spacers between the white buds. The centerpiece usually features a red crochet flower or floral motif, finished with soft pom-poms for that traditional look.
Why these work for your home:
- Washable: If they gather dust, simply give them a gentle dip-wash with mild detergent and let them air dry.
- Versatile: While these are popular as haars for deities, you can also use them as torans or latkans for doors. Just let me know the dimensions you are looking for.
- Customizable: Do you need a longer strand for a larger frame? Or perhaps different accent colors? Since I make these to order, I am happy to adjust the length and design to suit your specific space.
These pieces are perfect for daily pooja, Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali, or as a thoughtful gift that your loved ones can keep for years. If you have an idea in mind, send me a message and we can work on the details together.
