About First Year Milestones: Smiles, Sit-ups & Cake Smashes
When planning a milestone or cake smash session, we work around your baby's schedule, not the other way around. I block out a full three hours for these shoots. This gives us plenty of time for feeding, nap breaks, or just helping your little one settle into the setup so we get genuine smiles instead of forced poses.
I do not believe in forcing babies to sit still or hold rigid, unnatural poses. Your baby is the boss during these sessions. Whether we are doing a sit-up milestone shoot at your home or a milk bath in a garden, the goal is comfort.
Setting the Scene
For cake smashes and milestone setups, I bring the essentials like foil balloons, marquee numbers, and fresh flowers. If you have a specific fairy-tale theme or simple color palette in mind, let me know before the shoot. I love it when parents bring their own unique ideas to the table.
A Note on the Cake
For cake smashes, I ask that parents provide the cake. This is purely for dietary safety, as I want to ensure your little one enjoys their favorite flavor without any unexpected ingredients.
My Approach
You get a mix of clean solo portraits, messy play shots, and natural interaction with you. We focus on the tiny details that you will want to remember forever: the way they clutch their toes, that six-toothed smile, or the pure curiosity in their eyes when they taste frosting for the first time. We can shoot in the comfort of your living room using natural window light, or at a quiet garden in Andheri or Juhu. Wherever your baby feels most relaxed, that is where we make the magic happen.
