The Kiga Philosophy: Why Real Dog Care Isn't Just 'Guchi-Puchi'
Being a dog lover doesn't automatically make you a professional. Here is why Kiga prioritizes discipline, safety, and rational behavior over fluffy, over-pampered boarding experiences.
Seedhi baat bolta hoon, this boarding center is my life, not a side hustle. We're running at a loss because I refuse to compromise on quality with cages or untrained staff. Here, your dog's safety and well-being are the top priority, always.
Before you choose any boarding, watch this. I break down what you should actually look for, from staff behavior to security. Don't trust fake reviews or fancy photos; your dog's safety depends on you making an informed choice.
Thinking of opening a boarding center just because you love dogs? I explain why it's a stressful job that requires years of practical experience, not just book knowledge or a love for animals.
To work at Kiga, you don't have to be a dog lover; you have to be someone who follows instructions. I explain why a rational, disciplined approach is more important for safety than pure emotion when managing a pack of dogs.
We don't separate dogs by size; we separate them by temperament. A friendly Chihuahua can play with a big Labrador. I explain our assessment process and how we create safe, customized groups for every dog.
Kiga started as a daycare for clients who got dogs without planning and couldn't give them enough time. We created a safe, secure place for them, and that mission continues today with our boarding services.
Meet Mohit, one of our dedicated staff members. He's been with us for two years and loves his job, even if it means getting bitten sometimes. Our team is the backbone of Kiga.
About The Kiga Promise: Our Philosophy & People
Before booking, understand that Kiga isn't your typical kennel. We don't do 'random visits' because new faces create unnecessary stress for the pack. Instead, every new guest goes through a temperament assessment to ensure they actually fit our cage-free environment, which is 6000 sq ft of structured play, not just aimless running. We prioritize your dog's mental health over human convenience.
Why We Don't Do 'Guchi-Puchi'
Most boarding centers rely on fluff and photos to sell their services. At Kiga, we operate differently. We believe that over-pampering (what I call 'guchi-puchi') is often the source of a dog's anxiety. Dogs don't need human-style spoiling; they need rules, routine, and a sense of pack hierarchy.
The Kiga Standard
- No Cages: Our 6000 sq ft facility is entirely open. Cages are crutches for poor management. If you can't manage a pack without locking them up, you shouldn't be running a boarding center.
- Temperament Over Breed: We don't segregate by breed. A friendly Chihuahua and a balanced Labrador can share space because their temperament matches. We assess every dog before they join to prevent aggression.
- Staff that Listens: My team, like Mohit who has been with me for two years, is trained to follow instructions, not just 'love' dogs. In a pack environment, emotional thinking is dangerous. You need a calm, rational person who knows when to intervene and when to let the dogs work out their own dynamics.
Why No Random Visits?
I know it might sound rude to say you can't just drop in, but this is for the dogs. A stranger walking into a closed group of dogs disrupts the hierarchy and triggers reactivity. We keep our space controlled so your dog stays calm, not anxious. If you want to see the place, we plan it specifically so we don't disturb the peace of the dogs currently in our care.
