This is the premier carousel a user sees on my profile. It is designed to make a powerful first impression, showcasing the breadth of my work, my design philosophy, and the satisfaction of my clients. Each piece is chosen to tell a part of the story, from the sweeping views of a hillside retreat to the heartfelt words of a homeowner.
The Architect's Vision
Every home starts with a conversation and a sketch. In these videos, I share the stories and design principles behind some of my favorite projects, explaining the 'why' behind each architectural decision and how I translate a client's vision into a living space.
Client Conversations
A home is more than just a structure; it's a place filled with stories and experiences. Here, my clients share their journeys and talk about what it feels like to live in a space that was designed with their story at its heart.
Raghunath Farmhouse, Kotagiri
Nestled in the tea estates of the Nilgiris, this holiday home was designed to work with the challenging slope of the land, not against it. By building in split levels and wrapping the structure around a natural rock formation, we created a home that feels completely integrated with the stunning landscape.
Urban Residences
Building a peaceful sanctuary within the constraints of a city plot requires a thoughtful approach to space, light, and materials. These projects showcase how I use courtyards, skylights, and natural materials like stone and terracotta to create homes that feel spacious, calm, and connected to nature, even in a dense urban environment.
Mastering Light & Materials
My design philosophy, 'Arivu', is about creating spaces that feel alive. I achieve this through the honest use of local, natural materials like terracotta and stone, and by sculpting with light using skylights, courtyards, and jali screens to create homes that are healthy, energy-efficient, and beautiful.
From Sketch to Structure
Building a home is a craft that requires precision and care at every step. This collection shows the hands-on process, from innovative construction techniques like filler slabs and jack arch roofing to the meticulous finishing touches that bring a design to life.
Aurinko Academy: Architecture for Learning
This project was an opportunity to design an alternative school where the architecture itself is a learning tool. We created open, flexible, and inspiring spaces using innovative, modular construction that encourages creativity, collaboration, and a connection to the outdoors.
Future Visions & Inspirations
Architecture is always evolving, and so are we. This is a look at what's on our drawing board, from upcoming residential projects to conceptual designs for sustainable communities. It’s a glimpse into the future we are excited to build.
