The Art of Architectural Detail
It is the small choices that define a home. From custom granite treads at House Reversed to hand-carved pillars at Grid in the Grove, we sweat the details to build something truly yours.
The exterior staircase at 'House Reversed' is a statement piece. I chose a combination of Bianco and Blue Pearl granite for the treads and risers, paired with a sleek glass handrail to create a modern and luxurious feel.
A view looking up the granite staircase. The play of light and shadow on the textured stone adds depth and character. Every detail, from the material choice to the lighting, is carefully considered.
The central courtyard at 'Grid in the Grove' features these beautiful, hand-carved wooden pillars. Using traditional, local craftsmanship adds a layer of authenticity and soul to the project.
The interior of 'Opulent Abode' shows how landscape thinking can influence indoor spaces. The double-height volume, the staircase that seems to float, and the connection to the outdoor views are all part of a holistic design approach.
About this collection
We treat every element, like a staircase or a pillar, as a design focal point. For the House Reversed project, we combined Bianco and Blue Pearl granite specifically to match the light fall, ensuring the material feels alive rather than just functional.
Design is not just about the big picture. It is about how a hand-carved pillar feels when you touch it, or how light interacts with stone surfaces at different times of the day. My team at kenAR Architects follows the belief that God is in the details, meaning we do not rush the process. Whether it is selecting the right granite for a staircase or ensuring the joints in a custom railing are seamless, we invest time in the technical aspects that others might overlook.
We often travel across the country to source specific stones, like the granites used in the House Reversed project, because the right texture changes the character of a space. In other projects, such as Grid in the Grove, we integrate traditional craftsmanship by using wooden pillars that bring warmth and a sense of history into a new build.
We also bridge the gap between traditional principles and modern living. If you want Vastu integration or need a specific type of lighting that highlights textures, we incorporate those requirements without making the space feel cluttered. Our goal is to create residences that feel personal and comfortable, where the materials and the design work together to create a calm atmosphere. Every choice, from the flooring material to the joinery, is made with longevity and quality in mind, so your home remains beautiful for years to come.
