About Kids & Family Portraits
When shooting kids, I skip the stiff poses because they rarely work. If you choose my Borivali studio, we use controlled lighting to keep things sharp and clean, which is great for milestone portraits. For outdoor sessions in Mumbai, I prefer finding quiet parks or natural spots where children can move freely, allowing me to catch those fleeting laughs and curious looks without pressure.
How I Work
I do not believe in forcing smiles or making children sit still for hours. Kids are at their best when they are playing, and my role is to be ready when that energy comes out.
Studio Sessions (Borivali West) My studio is set up for controlled, focused work. This is ideal for:
- Milestone birthdays and cake smashes.
- Themed creative shoots like 'Little Chef' or vintage styles.
- When the weather outside isn't cooperating. I handle the props and background setups here, so all you need to bring are the outfits. It is a quiet, comfortable space where your child can be the focus.
Outdoor Lifestyle Shoots If you prefer a more natural look, we can head to one of Mumbai's parks or lakes. This style is less about a 'photo shoot' and more about an hour of fun. I guide you into light, letting the surroundings provide the color. We typically aim for early morning or late afternoon to get the best light, avoiding the harsh midday sun.
The Process
- Theme Planning: If you have a specific vision, we discuss props and colors beforehand.
- The Shoot: We keep it loose. For toddlers, we might do 45 minutes; for older kids, an hour or two. I always have an assistant with me to help manage lighting and keep the mood fun.
- The Turnaround: You get your edited, high-resolution images via a drive link within 4 to 6 days. No long waits for your memories.
Whether it is a simple portrait or a fully produced themed session, my goal is the same: to give you photos that look like your family, not a stock image.
