Family and Newborn Photography: Natural Portraits and Moments
I focus on the raw, unscripted connection that defines your family. From the quiet calm of a newborn's first days to the playful mess of a first birthday, I capture these milestones as they happen.
This is the moment I strive to capture. The pure, unscripted connection as new parents hold their entire world in their hands. I used soft, warm lighting to create an intimate atmosphere for this indoor family portrait.
A first birthday celebration set against the beautiful backdrop of the Shimla hills. I arrange these outdoor milestone sessions to feel like a fun family picnic, complete with a custom setup including a tent, balloons, and a teddy bear.
A close-up portrait of a sleeping newborn, peaceful and serene. For these styled infant photos, I use soft fabrics and simple accessories like this floral headband to keep the focus on the baby's delicate features.
This short film shows how I weave together the small moments of a newborn session into a cinematic story. It’s more than just photos; it’s a moving portrait of your family's new beginning.
A candid moment of love between a mother and her one-year-old daughter during an outdoor shoot. These unposed, emotional interactions are what make a family photography session truly special.
Sometimes the smallest details tell the biggest story. A newborn's tiny hand grasping her mother's finger is a powerful symbol of their new bond, a detail I always look for in my family sessions.
The pure joy and delightful mess of a first birthday cake smash. I love capturing a child's personality as they explore, and these fun, playful shots are always a family favorite.

About Featured
When I photograph a newborn, I plan for 3 to 4 hours so we can handle feeding breaks and soothe the baby at their own pace. For outdoor cake smashes, I prefer shooting during the golden hour to get that warm, natural light, focusing on the genuine laughter and messy moments rather than stiff poses.
My studio sessions for newborns are designed for comfort, both for the baby and the parents. I use soft Godox lighting and a collection of sanitized, rustic props like woven baskets and floral headbands to keep the aesthetic clean and timeless. Because I use high-resolution Nikon Z-Series gear, every detail, from the baby's tiny hands to the family’s expressions, stays sharp.
If you prefer the outdoors, my 'Picnic in the Woods' setup brings a sense of adventure to first birthday shoots. We arrange the space with a teepee, vintage baskets, and a custom cake from local bakers, allowing your child to explore and play while I capture the action from a distance.
Beyond just the stills, I produce short cinematic films for both indoor and outdoor sessions. These videos act as a trailer for your family's story, weaving together the clips we shoot into a memory you can revisit. Based in Shimla and Chandigarh, I travel across the country to document families wherever they are. Whether we are in my studio or a forest clearing, the goal is always the same: catching the real, unposed interactions that define your family's journey.
