About this collection
When shooting in heritage palaces, the temptation is to pose everyone perfectly still. We do the opposite. We use the grand scale of the architecture as a canvas, but focus our lenses on the small, quiet interactions—a shared laugh in a courtyard or a stolen glance in an archway—to ensure the location complements your story rather than overshadowing it.
We have spent a lot of time working in heritage properties, from the red sandstone of Jodhpur to grand lobbies in historic hotels. The challenge with these locations is that they are visually massive, and it is easy for a couple to look small or disconnected from the space.
Our approach is to balance the impact of the architecture with the intimacy of your relationship. We use high-end gear like our Sony A7RV and Canon R5 to handle the complex lighting found in old palaces, specifically managing the harsh shadows in long corridors and the low light of evening courtyards.
For these shoots, we act as both your photographers and your creative directors. We help scout the best light within the venue, whether that is the golden hour hitting the facade or the soft glow of interior chandeliers. You won't find us asking for stiff, magazine-style posing. Instead, we encourage movement—walking through corridors, dancing in courtyards—to keep the energy authentic while the grandeur of the palace provides the backdrop.
