About this collection
We do not believe in forcing poses or following a generic shot list. Before we even pick up our cameras, we prefer to spend time chatting with you, maybe grabbing a chai or just walking around to help you settle in. When you finally stop worrying about the camera and start engaging with each other, that is when we capture the genuine, goofy laughs and quiet sparks that actually define your relationship.
Our Approach to Candid Moments
We started Kalakaari four years ago because we felt that photography should be about the journey, not just the final frame. When you book a session with us, you are not just getting a photographer; you are getting a team that wants to document who you are right now.
How We Work
Whether we are shooting in our home base of Mumbai or traveling to a destination like Jodhpur or Goa, our process remains the same. We use top-tier gear like the Sony A7RV and Canon R5 to ensure every candid expression is sharp, but the tech is secondary to your comfort. We often spend the first part of the shoot just talking to get you into a relaxed rhythm. This is crucial for avoiding that 'posed' look. Our goal is to make the shoot feel less like a performance and more like a date you just happen to have a couple of observers at.
Why Playful Matters
Some of the best shots we have ever taken were the ones that were not planned. A sudden inside joke, a playful tug on a sleeve, or a moment of shared silence—these are the images that hold the most value years down the line. We look for these micro-moments.
