From the bright lights of movie sets to the energy of live events, I train dogs to stay calm, focused, and ready for action. Whether for film or stage, we build the confidence your dog needs to perform.

It was an honor to sit down with superstar Kiccha Sudeep to talk about our work on the film 'Naanu Matthu Gunda 2'. This shows the level of professionalism and skill I bring to animal training for the film industry.

A behind-the-scenes look at our star Simba on the set of 'Naanu Matthu Gunda 2'. Training for movies involves teaching dogs to hit their marks, interact with actors, and stay focused with cameras and crew around.

Here are three of my trained stars on a film set. This photo features Leo the German Shepherd, a Labrador, and a Belgian Malinois posing with an actor in a police uniform, ready for their scene.

Taking our skills to a public audience. This is a clip from our performance at the 'Happy Streets' event in Malleshwaram, where I demonstrated advanced obedience and fun tricks on stage.

About this collection

Training a dog for a film set or a live stage requires more than just basic tricks. I focus on desensitization, helping your dog stay calm around bright lights, loud boom mics, and busy crews. We work on hand signals so they perform perfectly even when I am off camera. It is about building a dog that is confident and comfortable, whether they are on a movie set or just the center of attention at your next family gathering.

When I work with dogs for films like 'Naanu Matthu Gunda 2' or live events at Happy Streets in Malleshwaram, the goal is never to stress the animal. We use positive reinforcement to build a bond where your dog actually wants to work with you. A film set is chaotic. There are reflectors, cameras, and people moving fast. If a dog is nervous, it shows. That is why our training starts with building a rock-solid temperament.

We break it down into real-world skills:

  • Focus under pressure: Keeping eyes on the handler despite high-traffic distractions.
  • Hand signals: Ensuring clear communication without needing verbal commands that could ruin a scene.
  • Environmental desensitization: Getting used to film equipment, strange smells, and unfamiliar environments.

It is not just for professional actors. Many of the techniques we use for film and show preparation are incredible for everyday pets. It improves their impulse control and strengthens the connection between you and your buddy. If you are interested in prepping your dog for a show, a media gig, or just want to teach them some impressive tricks to show off at the park, let us chat.

At K9 Gurukul, we are a family first. I have spent years working on sets for Kannada cinema and live events, so I know exactly what it takes to get a dog comfortable with the spotlight. It is all about building that bond so they feel safe, even when the cameras start rolling.
