About Artistic Statements: Pillar & Shell Candles
A common question I get is whether the shell melts away completely. It does not. My floral shell candles are crafted with a special hardened wax exterior embedded with real pressed flowers. When you light them, only the center portion consumes, allowing the beautiful floral shell to remain intact. You can simply place a tea-light inside once the center wax is finished to keep the piece glowing for years.
How My Artistic Candles Work
I believe your decor should tell a story. My sculptural pillar and floral shell candles are not mass-produced; they are handcrafted in my Kandivali studio using 100% organic beeswax. Because beeswax burns cleaner and longer than paraffin, you get a soot-free experience that feels as good as it smells.
The 'Joy' Factor
Every candle I pour is infused with positive affirmation chantings. This is my way of adding intention to the item. Whether it is an 'Evil Eye' pillar or a seasonal tree design, the goal is to create a sense of sukoon (peace) the moment you light it.
Customization & Care
I love working on custom prints. If you have a specific vision—like a teapot doodle for a friend or a deer motif for nature lovers—I can hand-print these onto the pillars.
- For Pillar Candles: Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch before every burn to prevent mushrooming.
- For Floral Shells: These are primarily designed for 'cold throw' fragrance and decor. If you choose to burn them, always ensure they are on a heat-safe surface.
