A look at my world—cinematic storytelling, underwater visuals, and commercial projects that move beyond the product to capture a distinct mood.

I am a freediver, which allows me to create visuals that most can't. This was captured in a cenote in Mexico, playing with the natural light beams that cut through the darkness. It’s about finding art in the elements.

A short film inspired by Hitchcock, shot for Apple. The concept was to see what the master of suspense could do with an iPhone 16. We used ProRes Apple Log at high frame rates for that slow-motion drama and edited in Final Cut Pro.

A view from inside the Amanjena resort in Marrakesh during a project for Tom Ford Beauty. The architecture frames the shot naturally. I focus on capturing the unique mood and design of luxury destinations. Shot on the Sony a1.

A project for Victorinox on Wall Street. We created a narrative around a classic character, using iconic NYC locations to build a timeless feel. The focus was on capturing the details, from the watch to the texture of the city.

An underwater commercial shoot for the LABFRESH SS22 collection in Curacao. This is an example of how I take a unique skill like freediving and apply it to a brand campaign to create something unexpected.

A studio portrait for Lorettidesign jewelry, shot in Aruba. The goal was clean, direct lighting to highlight the intricate details of the necklace. Post-production was done in Lightroom using Elinchrom lights.

Capturing the energy of New York City using a slow shutter speed to create motion blur. This was part of a men's fashion shoot, contrasting the stillness of the subject with the city's constant movement.

About Featured

My process begins with a narrative moodboard, whether we are shooting underwater in Mexico or a cinematic brand spot on Wall Street. I use Sony A1 and Leica gear to capture the mood, not just the subject. If you are looking for storytelling that feels like classic cinema rather than a standard commercial, we should talk.

This selection of work represents my philosophy: I do not just photograph products, I build a world around them. My work is heavily influenced by classic cinema, which is why I often lean into suspenseful grading, moody shadows, and high frame-rate motion.

From the architectural precision of luxury hotel campaigns at the Amanjena in Marrakesh to the dynamic storytelling for brands like Victorinox and Apple, my goal is to create visuals that hold attention. I am comfortable in controlled studio settings with Elinchrom lights, but I am equally at home with an underwater rig in a cenote, capturing the way light bends beneath the surface.

I handle the full pipeline, including concept development, filming on Sony or Leica systems, and post-production in Final Cut Pro and Lightroom. If your brand needs a campaign that feels lived-in, cinematic, and authentic, my team and I are ready to build that narrative with you.

I’m David, but most people call me Jetlag. I tell stories with a camera, whether it’s in the streets of NYC or freediving in a cenote. I approach every project like a filmmaker, focusing on light, mood, and the narrative.
