This is what I mean by creating a dream. For this magnificent outdoor wedding, I designed a breathtaking scene with a grand, illuminated mandap set against a lush garden, using soft lighting and elegant seating to craft an atmosphere of pure magic.
A whimsical and vibrant wedding stage, where the couple is surrounded by a fantasy garden of oversized, colorful flowers. This design is all about joy, color, and creating a one-of-a-kind fairytale moment.
For this wedding, I designed a mandap that exudes ethereal elegance. It features intricate white jaali screens, ornate silver chairs for the couple, and a ceiling adorned with a thick layer of moss and hanging florals.

This engagement stage combines modern elegance with romantic ambiance. I designed a striking backdrop featuring a wall of candles set within dark arches, complemented by lush white and green florals and cascading string lights for a truly captivating effect.
I transformed this indoor banquet hall into a serene, white-themed paradise for an engagement ceremony. The circular stage, surrounded by lush floral arrangements and elegant white lounge seating, created a sophisticated and intimate setting for the couple.
The centerpiece of the "Big Bow Affair" was this dramatic stage. A giant illuminated bow, framed by elegant green draping and sparkling chandeliers, created a show-stopping backdrop for the evening's performances.
For a soulful Qawali night, I designed a stage that was both elegant and traditional. The backdrop of intricate white latticework, combined with soft draping and a floor lined with red roses, set the perfect mood for the Mehfil-e-Mehendi.

Designing Your Dream Ceremony Space
A wedding stage or mandap needs to balance scale with intimacy. I work with couples to ensure the structure doesn't just look good in photos, but feels right in the room. When I design a stage, I am looking at how the materials interact with the environment. If we are working outdoors, we might use lighter structures and natural lighting to complement the landscape. In an indoor ballroom, I often introduce custom fabrication, like elaborate arches or heavy floral ceilings, to define the space and draw the eye inward.
My Approach to Mandap and Stage Design
- Structural Integrity: From 15ft grand backdrops to circular stages, I handle the custom fabrication required to build a sturdy, safe, and visually striking platform.
- Floral Artistry: I do not believe in standard pre-set designs. I mix fresh blooms, such as roses and orchids, with foliage to create texture and depth. Whether it is a dense floral wall or delicate hanging garlands, every flower is placed with intention.
- Lighting and Atmosphere: Lighting is the difference between a pretty stage and a captivating one. I use architectural uplighting and intelligent light placement to highlight the details of the mandap without washing out the colors of your outfits or the decor.
- Venue Versatility: I have worked in venues across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area, from banquet halls with existing low ceilings to open gardens. I know how to work with (and around) these limitations to ensure your stage looks like it was meant to be there.
