I designed this expansive outdoor lounge to feel like a luxurious garden retreat. The space features a mix of classic upholstered armchairs, traditional daybeds, and a serene water feature, all unified by a chic ivory and white color palette.
For this "Garden of Vows" wedding, I created an intimate lounge nook surrounded by an abundance of colorful flowers. The plush sofa and modern wooden tables provide a comfortable and beautiful spot for guests to gather.

Design Strategy for Guest Comfort
My process for lounge design goes beyond simple aesthetics. I consider the flow of the venue and how guests move between the bar, the buffet, and the main stage. For a vibrant mehendi, I might arrange low-height daybeds with accent cushions to create a relaxed, traditional vibe. For formal engagement parties or cocktail events, I focus on premium, structured seating like velvet sofas and dark, gold-legged armchairs that align with a contemporary color palette.
Integrating Florals and Lighting
Furniture is only half the picture. I layer in floral installations—often using fresh blooms like roses, hydrangeas, or lilies—to soften the look of the seating. Proper lighting is equally vital. I use warm, ambient lighting, such as hanging chandeliers or strategically placed lanterns, to define these areas and separate them from the busier sections of the party.
