Figurative and Themed Russian Sculpture Art
I blend delicate 3D floral sculptures with whimsical characters like birds, bunnies, and graceful figures. Each piece tells a unique story, turning a simple wall panel into a vibrant scene.
A close-up of the two sculpted white pigeons from my large circular panel. I used the palette knife to create the texture of their feathers and gave them a hint of turquoise for a magical touch.
This "Bunny in the Spring" piece is one of my cutest creations. I sculpted a cheerful bunny holding a garland of tiny flowers, surrounded by a field of larger 3D blooms. The details, like the tiny ladybug, make it so special.
This piece was a fun challenge, combining a painted figure with my 3D floral art. I created a girl carrying a basket overflowing with a cascade of sculpted flowers that seem to spill out of the painting.
The peacock is a symbol of abundance and beauty, making it a perfect subject for my art. In this piece, I sculpted its body and then created a magnificent tail from hundreds of tiny, multi-colored petals.
A sweet scene of a little bird in its nest, surrounded by a garden of red and yellow roses. This oval panel combines painting for the bird with 3D sculpture for the flowers and nest, creating a lovely story.
A close-up of another bird-themed piece, this time with two cute blue birds in their nest. The nest itself is sculpted with textured plaster to look like woven twigs, surrounded by a vibrant floral base.
Another one of my signature peacocks, this time on a uniquely shaped panel. The tail is a rainbow of sculpted feathers, and the whole piece is framed with a sparkling turquoise border.
About this collection
Bringing a character to life on a flat panel is not just about painting, it is about building layers. When I combine a sculpted bunny or a peacock with a cascade of 3D flowers, the piece gains a personality that flat art just cannot match. Every petal is individually sculpted with a palette knife, so no two stories are ever identical.
This collection is where my love for storytelling meets the technical precision of Russian sculpture plaster. Whether it is a gentle bird resting in a nest of roses or a playful bunny surrounded by spring blooms, these figurative pieces are designed to be focal points.
I use professional-grade Evgenia Ermilova paste for these works because it holds the intricate detail needed for feathers, fur, and delicate facial features. Unlike standard wall art, this is tactile. You can see the depth in the way light hits the petals.
I often start with a base layer of textured background, then sketch the figurative element. The 3D element comes in with the piping of the flowers. It is a slow, meditative process. If you have a specific theme in mind, maybe a childhood memory, a favorite animal, or a spiritual symbol like a peacock, we can conceptualize a piece that blends that subject with a lush, floral landscape. These pieces work beautifully in living rooms or as special gifts, and they add a touch of handcrafted personality that a store-bought print simply cannot provide.
Jashn-e-Kala by Sakshi
I am Sakshi, and I believe art is a total celebration, or as I call it, Jashn-e-Kala. I love getting my hands messy with plaster and paint to create pieces that feel alive, especially when I get to experiment with new characters and stories.
