Kids and Shared Bedroom Interiors
Designing shared bedrooms for kids requires more than just beds; it needs smart planning to keep space open for play. See how we use vertical layouts to make the most of every square foot.
This is how I design a single small room to comfortably accommodate multiple children. By using transforming bunk beds and integrated wardrobes, I can create distinct sleeping and storage zones, which can then be converted into a study or play area.
This layout is a solution for a large family in a single room, providing five separate sleeping pods. I use a multi-level bunk bed system to create privacy and personal space for each child, along with integrated storage and a shared desk area.
For a family with four kids, I designed this room with two separate loft structures. Each structure contains two beds and a personal study nook, creating four distinct zones that offer privacy and individual space for sleeping and schoolwork.
When a boy and girl share a room, I can create a clear division using a central storage unit. This design provides separate bed and storage areas, with a curtain for added privacy, allowing each child to have their own personal space.
This shared bedroom concept uses color-blocking with pink and blue to define separate zones for a boy and a girl. The loft bed design maximizes floor space, allowing for two beds, a study desk, and integrated shelving within a compact area.
For families, I love to integrate fun and function. This children's room design features a custom loft bed with a slide, a climbing wall, and monkey bars on the ceiling, creating an indoor playground that also includes a study desk and storage.
This nature-themed kids' room brings the outdoors in with botanical wallpaper and a green color palette. The design features a loft bed with a playhouse feel, a study desk, and plenty of built-in storage for a complete sleep, study, and play environment.
About this collection
A common worry with bunk beds is safety and daily utility. We build our structures using 19mm BWR (Boiling Water Resistant) plywood, which supports 80 to 100kg per level. We add 2mm PVC edge banding to remove sharp corners and install custom staircases with storage drawers, so you gain extra utility in the same footprint you would normally use for a standard ladder.
In Bangalore, the challenge is rarely just 'designing a room'—it is about fitting multiple functions into a single bedroom. Whether you are dealing with two kids sharing a space or a family needing to incorporate study, sleep, and play zones, we focus on modular, space-saving layouts that grow with your children.
Why Planning Matters
We avoid the trial-and-error approach. Every project starts with 3D visualization. You will see exactly how the bunk beds, storage units, and study desks fit before any wood is cut. This helps you understand the traffic flow of the room, ensuring the door can open fully or that the wardrobe doesn't block the light.
Customization for Small Spaces
Our designs move beyond standard furniture. We specialize in:
- Vertical Utilization: Using floor-to-ceiling heights for storage and sleeping platforms to keep the floor clear.
- Dual-Purpose Furniture: Beds that house wardrobes beneath them, or study desks that fold out of sight.
- Safe Zoning: Using color-blocking and custom partition units to give each child a distinct personal space without closing off the room.
We prioritize materials that last. All our joinery is built to withstand heavy daily use, and we integrate electrical planning early on to ensure your reading nooks and study areas are properly lit. If you have a room with unique dimensions or tricky corners, we can adapt these layouts to fit your specific floor plan.
Interior Design
We have spent years looking at city flats and thinking that every room has potential. We don’t just fill space; we plan for how your kids actually live—sleeping, studying, and playing in the same room. Our designs are all about making things work for the whole family without the clutter.
