I design bedrooms that balance a child's imagination with the practical reality of modern Bangalore apartments, creating spaces where they can sleep, study, and play.

A whimsical and highly functional bunk bed design. This piece features cozy sleeping nooks with unique curved cutouts, integrated storage shelves, and stairs with built-in drawers.

A bright and cheerful nautical-themed kids' room. I designed this L-shaped unit to include a corner desk, plenty of cabinets, and open shelving for books and toys, all in a vibrant yellow and blue.

An outer space-themed bedroom for an aspiring astronaut. The design includes a custom bed, a "Think Outside The Box" neon sign, and a wardrobe with glass doors.

This shared kids' room features a custom blue bunk bed with an integrated desk below. The wall-mounted shelving and full-height wardrobe provide ample storage for two.

A playful and charming kid's room with a custom bed designed to look like a bunny. The design includes a matching desk and bookshelf, creating a cohesive and imaginative space.

This is another view of a whimsical bedroom, featuring a custom bed with a unique scalloped headboard and a charming rabbit mural on the wall.

About this collection

Kids need room to move, so I prioritize multifunctional furniture that grows with them. My designs focus on reclaiming floor space—think loft beds with integrated study desks or staircases that double as toy storage—so your child has enough room to play, even in a compact Bangalore apartment.

When designing for children, the biggest challenge is keeping the space flexible enough to evolve as they get older. I move away from overly themed, permanent fixtures and instead build modular, long-lasting structures that can transition from a toddler's play zone to a teenager's study hub.

My Approach to Kids' Rooms

  • Vertical Thinking: In smaller bedrooms, I utilize vertical space by building custom loft beds. This keeps the footprint small while maximizing storage.
  • Built-in Utility: Every piece of furniture I make serves more than one purpose. Stairs to a bunk bed are always storage drawers; the area under a loft bed is a dedicated study or reading nook.
  • Safety & Materials: I use 18mm BWR grade plywood for the structural frames to ensure durability. For the finishes, I prioritize non-toxic laminates and soft-close hardware to prevent pinched fingers and minimize noise.
  • Personalized Storage: Bookshelves and toy storage are designed at reachable heights, encouraging children to keep their own spaces tidy.

Common Questions

  • How do you handle small rooms? I focus on light colors and wall-mounted desks to make the room feel larger while keeping the storage hidden inside closed cabinets.
  • Can you customize for two kids? Yes, I frequently design shared bedrooms with triple bunk configurations or tandem study desks to ensure both children have their own designated zone.
  • What about safety? All loft beds include custom MS railings, and I round off the corners of all wood furniture to keep the play environment safe.
