About Festivals & Public Events
Speed is the priority at any festival or busy public event. I handle the crowd by producing quick, 3-minute caricatures that keep the queue moving, so no one gets left waiting. I arrive with a fully self-contained setup, meaning I don't need electricity, special lighting, or extra space from you to get started.
When you are organizing a festival, flea market, or college fest, you need entertainment that isn't just fun—it needs to be logistically simple. I have been doing live drawing since 2012, and I have learned exactly how to manage high-footfall areas.
Why Live Caricatures Work at Fests
- Instant Engagement: Unlike a static booth, watching a live sketch happen draws people in. It is interactive art that stops passersby in their tracks.
- Built-in Souvenirs: Every guest walks away with a piece of paper that has my contact info and your event branding, keeping your festival fresh in their minds long after the day ends.
- Efficient Throughput: Whether it is a science festival or an anime fan fest, I am used to working with large crowds. My style uses bold, black marker lines and quick shading, allowing me to output high volumes of sketches without sacrificing the fun, exaggerated quality that people love.
My Setup Requirements
I am completely self-sufficient. I bring my own portable easel, high-quality cardstock, and professional markers. All I need from you is a small corner with two chairs and a bit of space for a queue. If you have a massive crowd, I can bring my team of trained artists to double the output. We have worked at venues ranging from open-air grounds at Fergusson College to stall setups at indoor expos in Mumbai and Pune. If you want to bring some 'masti' (fun) to your event, let's chat.
Philip Mathew
I'm Philip, and I have been sketching live since 2012. Festivals are my favorite because the energy is electric and I get to meet so many new faces. Whether it is a college fest or a crowded flea market, I am there to add some extra fun with my markers and easel.
