The biggest mistake an opener can make is peaking too early or playing the headliner's signature hits. My process is strategic:

• Crowd Reading: I gauge the demographic early. If it's a hip-hop night, we start with a steady, rhythmic build. For Bollywood nights at spots like F Superclub, I lean into deep cuts and high-tempo edits that get heads nodding before the lyrics kick in.
• Technical Precision: I’m fully locked into the booth—Pioneer CDJs, mixer gain staging, and lighting cue coordination. I don't just play tracks; I manage the entire soundscape.
• Energy Management: I work the mic just enough to hype the room without overshadowing the artist coming next. It's a balance of being a host and a DJ.

Whether I'm holding down the booth for a massive New Year's Eve set or bringing the heat to a weekend club gig, my job is to ensure the audience is fully engaged, drinks are flowing, and the energy is perfectly primed for the main act.
