Behind the Art: The Storytelling Process
I don't just fill empty surfaces. I build narratives out of steel, wood, and pure intention, turning your space into a canvas that speaks.
In this podcast interview, I discuss my philosophy on color and its power to alter experiences and emotions, and why I reject the neutral, Scandinavian palette in favor of vibrant, culturally rich expressions.
Me and my dog Kai in our Bangalore studio. This space is our sanctuary, a labor of love, and the heart of House of Berserk, where we build our life and dream up new creations.
An excerpt from an interview where I explain why I identify as a storyteller rather than an artist. For me, art is an interactive form that facilitates a connection between the work, the client's memories, and the space itself.
A candid moment in the studio with my teammate and my dog Kai, working on the floor with pieces of a new installation. This shows the collaborative and hands-on nature of our creative process.
A time-lapse of me working on a textured piece, showing the messy, physical, and joyful process of creating art. It's about being present and getting your hands dirty.
A moment of reflection (or existential dread) in the studio, holding a newly fabricated metal sculpture. It's a glimpse into the life of an artist, balancing creation with contemplation.
A feature describing me as the founder of House of Berserk, a storytelling studio, and a multidisciplinary artist with a background in architecture.
About this collection
Most of my work begins with an honest, sometimes messy conversation about your memories, not just your floor plan. We do not believe in standard templates or catalog items, so be prepared for a collaborative phase where we translate your personal history into a tangible design before we even touch a piece of metal or wood.
Art is a rebellion against the ordinary, and at House of Berserk, we take that mission seriously. When you step into the world of our storytelling, you are not buying a decor piece; you are commissioning a physical manifestation of a memory or a dream.
The Alchemy of Materials
We don't limit ourselves to one medium. My background in architecture taught me structure, but my heart lives in the chaos of expression. We layer heavy-gauge Mild Steel, Channapatna lacquerware, and hand-hardened textiles to build depth. Whether it is a 3D wall installation that creates a six-inch relief or a hand-beaten metal floor sculpture, every material is chosen because it adds another layer to the story.
How We Create Together
Our process is defined by discovery. We chat, we sketch, and we dream big.
- Concept Development: We start with your narrative. What emotions do you want your room to evoke?
- Structural Analysis: Because we work with heavy materials, we include structural integrity checks to ensure your art is also safe.
- Execution: We use a hybrid of high-precision CNC cutting and manual heat-bending, finished with automotive-grade PU to ensure your piece stands the test of time.
A Team of Rebels
House of Berserk is more than just me. It is a collective effort involving my constant companion Kai, our logistics hero Seema, and a dedicated crew of fabricators who don't know the meaning of the word 'impossible.' We are based in Bangalore, but our work travels across India. We are here to prove that art does not have to be quiet. It can be loud, it can be messy, and it should absolutely reflect who you are.
House of Berserk
I am Priyanka, the storyteller behind House of Berserk. My crew, including my dog Kai and Seema, works to drag the creative impulse out of the shadows and onto your walls. We turn spaces into places that scream personality.
