Elite Goalkeeper Drills and Coaching
Building the reflexes, footwork, and mental toughness every goalkeeper needs. Get match-ready with specialized training for the big stage.
Here is a look at a goalkeeper-specific agility session at SAI-NCOE Delhi. We use a series of cone drills to enhance lateral movement, explosive power, and quick recovery for our goalies.
Dedication means training day or night. This clip shows a late-night goalkeeping session at SAI Bangalore, focusing on one-on-one saves and reaction time in low-light conditions to simulate challenging match environments.
Another look at our specialized goalkeeper training. This drill focuses on positioning and saving shots from various angles, ensuring our goalies are prepared for any attack.
Defending the drag flick is a critical skill. In this night session, we work on reading the attacker's body language and stick movement to anticipate the shot and make the save.
About Elite Goalkeeper Drills
My training is not for everyone, it is for those who want to reach the national camps. When we are on the turf, I am loud and I am direct because that is how you build a GK who doesn't freeze under pressure. We focus on 'Aur pressure!'—where I push you to clear, kick, and slide even when you are tired, ensuring your reactions become muscle memory before you step into a real match.
Training for the Big Stage
I train athletes to compete at the highest level, from Khelo India to Junior India teams. My sessions at SAI (Sports Authority of India) in Bengaluru and Delhi aren't just about standing in the goal. We deconstruct every moment of the game. If you want to master baseline entry defense or handle powerful drag flicks, you need more than raw talent—you need technical precision.
What We Cover in These Drills
- Reaction & Reflexes: We use rapid-fire ball delivery to make sure you aren't guessing where the ball is going; you are reading it.
- Situational Defense: I run 2v1 and 3v3 drills inside the 'D' to build your command. You will learn to lead your defense, not just wait for the attack.
- Biomechanics: We analyze your Ready Stance and recovery speed. If your footwork is slow, we fix it with agility ladders until your movement is sharp.
- Mental Conditioning: The hardest save is often the one you make in your head. We practice visualization and managing match-day pressure so you remain calm when the score is tight.
Why Train With Me?
My coaching philosophy is simple: we work, we sweat, and we grow as one team. I’ve spent my life on the hockey field, and I know exactly what scouts at the national camps are looking for. Whether it's correcting your bad habits, like dipping your hands too low, or improving your clearing techniques, I am right there with you, shouting 'Chalo, chalo, chalo!' until you get it right. If you are serious about becoming an elite goalkeeper, I am ready to push you to that next level. Om Muruga Potri.
